Novelty Treats: Schoolhouse Rock

Two Hawaiian history teachers have ripped a page from some sort of Golden Apple playbook and gone the extra mile to disguise their lessons as catchy, carefully crafted pop song covers.  They're obviously having a good time with this, and it must be working, because they've made more than one or two.  There are quite literally 48 of these on their YouTube channel, making use of quite a few relatively elaborate ren faire costumes and a green screen or two.  If you've got a few minutes to kill, these are pretty great and put all of my past history teachers to shame.  Shame.  That's right.  Shame.  I mean, I'm still pretty sure my AP Euro instructor was making up lessons plans five minutes prior to the beginning of class..."uh, hey guys, let's read this aloud in a circle."   [via Urlesque]
