wha wha what?

80-year old Chilean auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky isn't done yet. ScreenDaily is reporting that Jodorowsky's film King Shot is super close to securing the $7.4 million required to get the cameras rolling by this fall. This, via the assistance of Lynch's Absurda films and Laszlo Kantor's UJ Budapest FilmStudio.

King Shot would be Jodorowsky's first film since 1990's The Rainbow Thief and is being marketed as a "metaphysical spaghetti western" (sounding similar to El Topo, no?) set to star Nick Nolte, Marilyn Manson, and Asia Argento.

Sweet.
